the poll on the INTERNATIONAL SHOE DAY has closed. here are the results:

:: OUR OPINION
the idea of the bracelet has won by far... however... for us the bracelet does not really reflect what the original idea behind the INTERNATIONAL SHOE DAY. *gulp* let us explain ;-)
the original idea was based on the fact, that for just one day we wanted to do something special! take the SHOE cyberworld and turn it into the SHOE reality. we wanted to do this with a fun action *hint* :) wearing a bracelet is neither fun nor really special for just one day... since you can wear it any day ;-)
so we decided the following: for the INTERNATIONAL SHOE DAY we will go ahead with the "SHOE outside the window and send us your pix" idea > because:
a) it's fun
b) doesn't cost anything
c) you'll get to see where the SHOEs live
d) you can send in photos of your dangling SHOEs and we'll put them on a special photo gallery.
as for the bracelet. since so many of you have voted for it, WE WILL design a special SHOE bracelet that you can wear any day you like to show you belong to this great community :o)

we thought long and hard to find a date. we really did not want it to take place when pride events are popping up everywhere. so... we looked at our address: www.shoe.org.
SHOE has 4 letters and ORG has 3 letters. in the end we get: 4 = day and 3 = month == 4th march // SHOE INTERNATIONAL DAY will take place on the 4th march every year :)))
