Courtney Love was arrested on a Virgin flight from LA for disruptive behaviour and endangering an aircraft, police said. Police were waiting for Love as her flight landed at Terminal 3 in London's Heathrow airport.Love was taken to be quizzed at Heathrow Police Station, where staff also gave statements on the incident.
Trouble broke out one hour before the Boeing 747 was due to land and staff from the flight's 20 crew reported the disturbance, an airline spokesman said.
Police were quizzing her over the allegations that she was disruptive and "at least" verbally abusive on board the flight.
Virgin spokesman Paul Moore said: "She was being verbally abusive at the very least. She is now being interviewed by police.
"Virgin flight VS8 from Los Angeles to Heathrow was met by police at 11am to reports that a female passenger was acting in a disruptive manner.
"There were 201 passengers on board and 20 crew. She was in business class. A freedom menu was available to her. That means you can choose from a wide variety of food at any time. Drink is also available in the same way.
"This is available to all our business class passengers without causing any problems at all."
A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman said: "The flight arrived at 11.05 and officers arrested her for disruptive behaviour and endangering an aircraft."
