Today, 3rd January 03, the new SHOE chat, which can also be reached through mIRC, has gone online - replacing the old one.It will take some time to get used to the new chat room. But you will see, the advantages of the new chat will convince even "old SHOE chat veterans" to start liking it - promised ;-)
Some of the most important advantages:
- The new chat is sooooooooooooooooooo much faster
- It keeps the server load down
- Amongst many things you can send private messages, create your own room...
- NEKA will continue keeping an eye out for our members to prevent abuse
This chat can also be accessed with any standard IRC program such as mIRC or IRCle at irc.shoe.org:6667 - if you're behind a firewall where port 6667 is blocked, try to connect through port 443: irc.shoe.org:443
Please read the guidelines carefully before you try out the new chat. We've created a huge help file to guide you through.
PLEASE NOTE:
YOU WILL NEED TO REGISTER YOUR CHAT NICK FIRST ON chat.shoe.org BEFORE YOU CAN START CHATTING.
So don't forget, ok? :) It's not gonna work, if you don't register it.
